Lego-Based 3D Printer

Build LEGO Projects from Digital Models

As a member of a five-person team for my Computer Science senior design project, I contributed significantly to developing a pseudo 3D printer that assembles Lego bricks based on digital designs. Our team built this device entirely from scratch, starting from the ground up. My primary responsibilities included creating the software to control the printer's motors and sensors, as well as designing a browser-based user interface. I also assisted with some mechanical aspects of the project, showcasing my ability to work across different domains. Our team successfully constructed a functional frame and achieved accurate positioning of the print head. Although time constraints prevented us from fully completing the project, this experience enhanced my skills in embedded systems programming, UI development, and cross-functional collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.
